Chapter 1360 The Refined Coffee Shop
Chapter 1360 The Refined Coffee Shop
Inside a coffee shop, various brands of coffee beans were displayed. One of the men, who appeared to be the owner, looked around with a satisfied expression: "My name is Hoshino Kohiro. I gave up my position as a department head at a top-tier company because I wanted to let more people taste truly delicious coffee. To realize this dream, I opened this coffee shop!" Looking at everything around him, his satisfaction was overflowing. Now, all he had to do was have customers come in.
Outside, Misae led the three little ones to the entrance of this shop. It seemed to be newly opened, and she had discovered it by chance.
"Is this the place?" Misae looked around uncertainly, then surveyed the surroundings. After confirming that it was the right place, she led the little ones inside.
When the owner saw them, a smile spread across his face: "And now, our first memorable customer has arrived!"
"Welcome." Kohiro greeted the group as they entered.
"Hello." Misae nodded to him and greeted him. Then, guided by Kohiro, she went to her seat, handed them a few glasses of water, and took out a coupon, asking, "Excuse me, may I use this?"
"Oh, this is a discount coupon for our store's opening." The owner nodded and pointed to the coupon, indicating that it was acceptable.
Shin-chan looked at the shop owner and couldn't help but say, "My mom gets really upset if she doesn't use a discount coupon."
Misae blushed instantly, and Mingxu quickly covered Shin-chan's mouth, saying, "Okay, okay."
Misae also shouted in annoyance, "Kids shouldn't talk nonsense!"
The boss had a strange expression on his face and handed them a menu.
Misae took it, then hesitated, "Wow, there are so many kinds."
Hearing this, the boss looked somewhat smug: "Yes, because we are a coffee specialty store!" As he spoke, the boss looked at Misae with bright eyes.
Misae was looking at the menu when she suddenly felt the owner's gaze fixed on her. Puzzled, she looked up and asked, "Um... what's wrong?"
The boss also realized what was happening and looked at Misae with a smile, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I was just thinking about which kind of coffee would be most suitable for you to try. Based on my observation, you are 27 years old."
Misae interrupted him with a smile: "It's a pity she's 28."
"That was my rudeness," the boss quickly apologized.
"Thirty already," Xiaoxin muttered to herself. Mingxu nodded in agreement. Why are these people so restless? Their ages always seem to fluctuate!
"It's 29!" Misae exclaimed instinctively, but then realized her mistake and looked at the boss with some embarrassment.
"Oh, she's 29 years old, not a local. She met your husband because of work, dated for a few years, got married, and had three children, and they're still together today." The boss kept talking to Misae.
"Wow, that's amazing!" Misae looked at the boss with some surprise. What he said was really true.
"Tch, I can do that too." Mingxu looked at the boss: "When it rains, the ground is slippery. Whatever your dad's last name is, that's your last name! When you go out, you have to call a taxi. Your dad's sister is called 'Auntie.' People eat grain, cows eat grass. You're definitely younger than your dad. You have to sit to eat and lie down to sleep. You definitely weren't at your parents' wedding."
"Hmm, what you said seems to make a lot of sense, but why do I feel like something's not quite right?" The boss looked at Mingxu with a somewhat bewildered expression.
"Of course, that's all nonsense." Mingxu shrugged, looking at the few people around him who were staring at him curiously. Well, they were all idiots too.
"...This little boy is full of energy, and so is this one. The third child is still very young, so daily life must be quite tough for them," the shopkeeper said, a twitch at the corner of his mouth.
Misae continued to be fooled: "Can you tell?"
The boss nodded again and said, "Have you been feeling a bit tired lately?"
Misae subconsciously rubbed her shoulder as she spoke: "Yeah, I do a lot of things every day."
Shin-chan continued to complain from the side, "They clearly have nothing to do all day."
"Stop nagging!" Misae glared at Shin-chan.
Mingxu looked at the boss speechlessly: "Boss, you've said this to many housewives, haven't you? After all, many people have gone through this. As for the children, you're talking about the three of us, aren't you?"
"..." The boss was a little embarrassed and didn't answer. He turned to look at Misae again. "For a customer like this, I recommend Blue Mountain coffee as a base, which can continuously emit a wonderful aroma, has a smooth taste, and is easy to drink. I also recommend Brazilian coffee beans that are dark roasted to emphasize bitterness, and Mocha with a touch of acidity and sweetness!" The boss became more and more excited as he spoke, using a lot of professional terms that no one understood.
The boss, not hearing a sound, looked down at them somewhat confusedly, then suddenly realized what he had done and slapped his forehead: "How rude of me! I forgot to ask your name!"
"My name is Nohara Misae," Misae said instinctively.
The shop owner nodded: "What do you think of Ms. Nohara Misae's special blend coffee?"
"Okay. Give me that one." Misae nodded, sensing that something was off about the shopkeeper.
"No problem, please wait a moment." The boss nodded, made a note, and looked at the two little ones.
"Anything's fine with me, a latte?" Mingxu calmly put down his latte and looked at the shopkeeper.
"Excuse me, we..." The boss was about to say something when Mingxu looked at him and said, "This is probably the most basic coffee."
"...Oh, and what about this little kid?" The shopkeeper nodded and looked at Shin-chan.
Shin-chan put down the menu and calmly said, "I want a special Nohara Shinnosuke coffee made with cookies as the base, macarons and ice cream."
"Huh?" The shopkeeper was bewildered. These things were coffee?
Misae looked at Shin-chan speechlessly, then turned to the shopkeeper: "Please give this child a glass of orange juice."
The shop owner was taken aback and said somewhat embarrassedly, "Oh dear, I'm so sorry, we don't have juice in our shop."
"Oh no." Misae frowned slightly.
"Is it just coffee?" Shin-chan asked curiously.
"Yes, because we are a coffee specialty store." The owner nodded again.
Misae scratched her head, wondering whether she should order one like Xiaoxu had suggested, but then suddenly remembered something and looked at the owner: "Oh, right, what about the coffee au lait?"
"Oh? Olay, I'm so sorry..." the boss apologized repeatedly.
"Hey, not even coffee or water? Is there nothing I can drink?" Shin-chan blinked, looking at the shopkeeper with a gleam in his eyes.
'No, no! I absolutely cannot give up on my principles at a time like this! Hmm!' Just as the boss was about to refuse Shin-chan in a stern tone, he saw Shin-chan's pitiful eyes and immediately softened again.
"No? No? No~" Looking at Shin-chan's eyes and pitiful tone, the boss sighed helplessly; "Then I'll make an exception..."
"Then I'll have a coffee au lait, but no coffee!" Shin-chan blurted out.
"Huh? Then it just becomes milk." Misae looked at Shin-chan speechlessly. The shopkeeper had no choice but to go and start grinding.
"Honestly, I was originally planning to only serve black coffee. Fine, starting tomorrow, we will not serve children!" The owner silently made up his mind.
