Chapter 725 Speechless

Chapter 725 Speechless

Zhang Hai's heart felt as if it were being torn apart, wracked with excruciating pain. He gripped the White Fang Blade tightly, remaining silent for a long time.

His mind kept replaying every moment he spent with Mr. White Fang. His teacher's teachings, his teacher's smile, his teacher's trust... everything flashed through his mind like a movie.

“Teacher…” Zhang Hai’s heart was filled with unbearable grief. He suddenly raised his head, tears of blood welling up in his eyes.

A powerful surge of dark soul energy erupted from Zhang Hai's body like a volcanic eruption! The dark soul instantly filled the entire room, enveloping everything within it. The air inside instantly became cold and oppressive, as if one were in hell.

Zhang Hai's Sharingan glared at Kakashi, his eyes filled with rage and killing intent. He suddenly raised his hand and slapped Kakashi hard across the face!

"Snapped!"

A crisp slap echoed in the room. Kakashi was slapped to the ground by Zhang Hai, leaving a bright red handprint on his face.

"Kakashi! You bastard!" Zhang Hai roared, his voice filled with pain and anger. "Why didn't you stop the teacher?! Why did you just watch him die?! You unfilial son! You don't deserve to be the teacher's son! You are completely unfit!"

Kakashi was stung by Zhang Hai's words. He lay on the ground, his body trembling slightly, his eyes filled with pain and self-reproach. He didn't refute them, because he knew that what Zhang Hai said was true. He really hadn't stopped his father; he had really watched helplessly as his father walked towards death.

The White Fang Blade in Zhang Hai's hand emitted a buzzing sound, as if it were lamenting the injustice done to its master. A chilling killing intent emanated from the blade, pointing directly at Kakashi.

Zhang Hai's soul power surged, his heart filled with pain and anger. He hated himself for not returning in time, for not stopping his teacher. He hated even more the heartless gossip in the village—it was those gossips that had driven his teacher to his death!

However, just as Zhang Hai was about to be completely consumed by anger, he suddenly felt a faint yet familiar power emanating from the White Fang Blade. It was his teacher's chakra, carrying a hint of warmth and a touch of acceptance.

This surge of chakra, like a clear spring, instantly extinguished the fury in Zhang Hai's heart. He jolted, a glimmer of clarity returning to his eyes. He knew his teacher didn't want him to be blinded by hatred.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He withdrew his dark soul power, and the oppressive atmosphere in the room instantly disappeared.

He looked at Kakashi lying on the ground, a hint of apology in his eyes. He knew Kakashi was in just as much pain.

Zhang Hai extended his right hand, a soft green light emanating from his palm—the light of medical ninjutsu. He gently pressed it against Kakashi's forehead, and chakra instantly flowed into Kakashi's body, repairing his injuries.

"Kakashi, I'm sorry," Zhang Hai's voice was hoarse and weak. "I shouldn't have hit you."

Kakashi's body trembled slightly as he felt the warmth of Zhang Hai's hand, and tears welled up in his eyes.

After the treatment was finished, Zhang Hai withdrew his medical ninjutsu. He looked at Kakashi and asked calmly, "Kakashi, tell me everything. From beginning to end, every single detail, don't miss anything."

Kakashi nodded; he knew Zhang Hai wanted to know the truth. He took a deep breath and began to recount the events surrounding White Fang's death.

He recounted how the rumors and gossip in the village gradually consumed his father, how his father went from initial steadfastness to wavering, and finally to despair. He described how those villagers who once respected his father used their cold eyes and vicious words to drive him to his death.

He recounted what his father had told him before he passed away, hoping that he could live well and not be blinded by hatred.

Zhang Hai listened quietly to Kakashi's story, his face expressionless, but his heart felt like it was being torn apart. He knew that those rumors and those merciless accusations were the real culprits that led to White Fang's suicide.

After listening to Kakashi's account, Zhang Hai's eyes were filled with pain and sorrow. He knew he was too late. He hadn't been able to prevent his teacher's death.

"Where is the teacher's grave?" Zhang Hai's voice was hoarse and weak.

Kakashi looked up, a hint of confusion in his eyes. He didn't know what Zhang Hai was planning.

Zhang Hai didn't ask any more questions. He just gripped the White Fang Blade tightly, and with a flash, he disappeared from the room.

……

Zhang Hai sped along and soon arrived at the cemetery in Konoha Village. He saw the newly erected tombstone, which bore the four large characters "Hatake Shiroga".

He came to the tombstone and knelt down. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision.

"Teacher...I'm so sorry..." Zhang Hai's voice was filled with pain and self-reproach, "I'm too late...I couldn't stop you..."

He suddenly pulled out the S-level intelligence scroll from his hand and burned it without hesitation!

"These things... are the murderers who killed you!" Zhang Hai roared, his voice filled with anger and despair. "I don't want these things! I just want you alive!"

Flames roared, and the S-level intelligence scroll instantly turned to ashes. Zhang Hai stared at the ashes, his eyes filled with pain.

He planted the White Fang Blade in front of the tombstone, then sat motionless on the ground. A powerful surge of dark soul energy erupted from his body once more, instantly enveloping the entire cemetery.

The air inside the cemetery instantly became cold and oppressive, as if one were in hell.

……

Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, suddenly stood up. A serious expression appeared on his face, and his eyes were filled with vigilance.

“This power…it’s it!” Third Hokage murmured to himself, the dark power he had sensed a few years ago flashing through his mind.

Without the slightest hesitation, he quickly donned his combat suit and sped towards the direction from which the dark force was emanating. He knew this force was extremely dangerous, and he had to confirm it himself.

Soon, the Third Hokage arrived at the graveyard. He saw a powerful dark force permeating the graveyard, a force that made his heart tremble.

He saw Minato Namikaze standing in the center of the cemetery, and Tsunade standing beside him. Both of them sensed the dark power and their faces showed solemn expressions.

"Lord Hokage!" Minato bowed immediately upon seeing the Third Hokage arrive.

The Third Hokage nodded, his eyes filled with solemnity as he looked at the dark power in the center of the graveyard.

"Minato, Tsunade, you also felt this power, didn't you?" the Third Hokage asked in a deep voice.

Minato and Tsunade nodded.
