Chapter 186 Finale
Chapter 186 Finale
Zhu Xia only sent a message to Uncle Cai in advance, asking him if it was convenient.
Uncle Cai replied that it was convenient and he would send someone to pick her up.
The person who picked her up was the general secretary Joice, who was smiling. The two hadn't seen each other for a long time and had a brief chat.
After they got out of the elevator, the secretary in the secretarial office saw them from a distance and immediately stood up from her seat to greet them. Joice asked, "Is this Mr. He?" The secretary smiled and said, "I just came back from a meeting."
Joice nodded, turned to Zhu Xia and said, "Ms. Zhu, Mr. He is in the office."
Zhu Xia nodded: "Go and do your work, don't worry about me."
Joice left, and the secretary walked to Zhu Xia, knocked on the door gently as usual, waited for a moment, and then opened the door to invite Zhu Xia in. Zhu Xia said she didn't need coffee or tea, and when the secretary saw her go in, he closed the door behind her and sat back at his workstation.
The huge office was silent, and the layout was similar to the last time she came... the evergreens were lush and green, the fish in the fish tank were flying happily and freely, and the man sitting tall behind the desk was wearing a dark blue, almost black shirt with broad shoulders and solid texture, which made the scarce fabric look even more expensive.
The man lowered his head slightly as he flipped through the documents. The fingers holding the pen were long and slender, and there were light blue veins on the cold white back of his hand.
"Mr. He."
He raised his eyelids only when a familiar female voice with a smile sounded.
Seeing who the person was, He Lianzhou's stern expression instantly became warm. He stood up gracefully and strode forward.
"He Lianzhou!" Zhu Xia immediately stood on tiptoe, opened his arms, hooked his neck, and hung on him like a kangaroo.
He Lianzhou wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up, looking like he was measuring her weight.
"You've lost weight." He put her down and held her tightly in his arms.
"Because I didn't have dinner." Zhu Xia leaned against the man's solid and warm chest, raised her head in his arms and looked at him, asking, "Mr. He, take me to dinner."
He Lianzhou rubbed her head and said, "Mrs. He, let's go."
Zhu Xia let go of him, took down the hanging suit jacket, and helped him put it on in a very professional manner. She stood on tiptoe and turned over his collar with her slender white fingers.
He Lianzhou's gaze fell on her face. When she was focused, her eyes looked like a clear peach spring. He suddenly lowered his head and kissed her lips.
Zhu Xia turned his head away and said with a smile: "Let's eat first, Mr. He."
In the past, she called him Mr. He to distance herself from him, and he didn't like it. Now, she called him Mr. He as if she was in a good mood and could speak freely.
He Lianzhou rubbed her hair, took her hand, and walked out of the office together.
The secretary hadn't left yet, so he said, "Let's go home."
"Yes." The secretary said decisively, without saying anything more or looking at him any more.
After entering the elevator, the moment the door closed, Zhu Xia kept backing away, her back against the cold wall, trapped by the man. As she took a breath, she gasped, "Don't mess around... There are surveillance cameras..."
“It just closed,” he said.
Hearing this, Zhu Xia stared at him in surprise.
Anyone would suspect there is something fishy if the surveillance camera was suddenly turned off for no apparent reason.
Is this different from having nothing to do with it?
He Lianzhou saw that her ears were red, smiled, put his long arms around her waist, and hugged her for a while.
There were not many people on the road, only patrolling security guards and bodyguards following in secret. The driver today was a handsome young man named Wan, whom Zhu Xia had never seen before. She was a little curious and took a closer look, but was immediately turned back by He Lianzhou.
She laughed.
She really wanted to compliment him on how good-looking the people around him were, but she held back so as not to add fuel to the fire.
They had their meal in a courtyard-style restaurant. Perhaps because He Lianzhou had reserved the entire place, there were no other guests in the huge restaurant except them.
The restaurant is quiet. When you walk into the private room, the tableware is already laid out. Outside the window is a courtyard that looks like a Jiangnan garden, with mountains and flowing water, unique. When you sit down, you can see flowers, plants and trees swaying in the wind.
He Lianzhou asked Zhu Xia what she wanted to eat. Zhu Xia held her chin with her hand and looked out the window, saying, "You order."
He Lianzhou signaled to the waiter that there was a person from Beijing and asked the chef to do as instructed.
The waiter bowed and said yes, then went out.
He Lianzhou saw that she was looking outside, so he stood up, took her hand, and pulled her up: "Go out and take a look."
"Don't you want to eat?" Zhu Xia asked.
"It will take some time for the food to be served."
"it is good."
He Lianzhou held Zhu Xia's hand, walked out of the box, walked along the long corridor, passed through the moon-shaped door, and heard the sound of gurgling water in the stream, and he couldn't help but slow down his pace.
The water is calm and the rocks are jagged. The gardens are scattered and well-arranged, each of which exudes a unique landscape. In spring, azaleas are in full bloom, competing for beauty.
Zhu Xia held He Lianzhou's hand and walked towards the rockery. The wind from the air suddenly brought light snow, which felt cool on her face. She raised her hand and touched her cheek, wondering, "Why is there snow?"
Snowflakes kept floating in the sky, and the rockery plants were covered with a thin layer of snow, as if the entire winter had been moved here.
"Zhu Xia." He Lianzhou held Zhu Xia's hand tightly and pulled her, causing her to turn around.
Zhu Xia suddenly turned around and looked at his rare serious expression, and her heart beat faster involuntarily.
He Lianzhou took out an ink-colored velvet box from his pocket.
Zhu Xia was stunned.
The snow was still falling, wrapping them together. She seemed to be frozen, staring at him intently.
"How about family members being certified before they can work?" he asked.
Zhu Xia's long eyelashes trembled, and the tiny snowflakes fell coldly on her face, but her eyes were inexplicably hot.
She looked at him, and nodded at the moment when tears rolled down her cheeks.
Without waiting for He Lianzhou to react, Zhu Xia immediately hugged his thin waist tightly, rubbing her face against his clothes as if wiping tears.
"Zhu Xia, there are still many days ahead. I hope you are within my reach." He Lianzhou whispered in her ear, "I hope you will always be by my side."
Zhu Xia looked up at him, He Lianzhou lowered his head and pressed his thin lips against hers.
Zhu Xia kissed him back, hugging him tightly while sucking him.
Artificial snowmaking was a long-planned event.
Returning to the box, the two walked on the winding stone road. Zhu Xia looked down at the thin layer of snow on the bricks on the ground and said, "The artificial snow scene is very beautiful."
He Lianzhou held her hand, rubbed the ring on her ring finger with his fingertips, then pulled her up and kissed her.
Back in the box, Zhu Xia felt that the ring was too conspicuous, so she took it off temporarily and put it in the box.
He Lianzhou looked at her.
"You'll have many days to wear it in the future, there's no rush." Zhu Xia always has a good attitude, so he let him eat first.
As she was eating, she looked up at the man, then took out her cell phone, opened the social app, edited a message, and sent it in real time.
After dinner, Zhu Xia and He Lianzhou went for a walk along Victoria Harbour to digest the food, just like they did many years ago, like a couple in love.
The sea breeze gently brushed her cheeks, her black hair lifted up and wrapped around the man's slender neck.
They walked forward step by step under the bright lights of Victoria Harbour.
Their hands were tightly clasped together, and their hearts seemed to be tightly connected.
A feeling of happiness arose spontaneously, and a happy smile appeared on Zhu Xia's eyes and brows. She suddenly grabbed He Lianzhou and stopped.
The neon lights of the tall buildings and the starry sky complemented each other. She stood among them, smiling at him, her figure almost blending into the dazzling light.
"I posted a status update, please open your phone and take a look." Zhu Xia said.
He Lianzhou held the phone in one hand, his fingertips slid into her homepage, and his extremely dark pupils clearly reflected a sentence.
"We met in Beijing and Hong Kong, and this is the end of our lives. I will confess my love for you for the rest of my life."
