Chapter 24 Watching a Movie Together

On a breezy evening, with a glimmer of gorgeous sunset glow still lingering in the sky, Lin Yanan and Ruan Jianan walked side by side on the bustling street, their figures elongated in the afterglow of the setting sun.

Ruan Jianan turned his head and looked at Lin Yanan, his eyes full of tenderness and expectation, "Yanan, let's go to the movies first, and then go home after dinner."

Lin Yanan was slightly stunned, and secretly delighted in her heart, but she pretended to be reserved on her face, "Okay, I'll listen to you."

Ruan Jianan smiled and took Lin Yanan's hand, and walked towards the cinema. Along the way, Lin Yanan's heart was beating like a little rabbit.

When they arrived at the cinema, Ruan Jianan went to buy popcorn and drinks, while Lin Yanan stood aside, glancing at Ruan Jianan's back from time to time, with the corners of her mouth unconsciously rising.

Ruan Jianan came back from shopping and saw this scene. He smiled and said, "You are always so kind."

Lin Yanan took the popcorn and said angrily, "You are the only one who knows how to praise me."

The two walked into the theater and found seats to sit down. The movie started, it was a funny comedy. Lin Yanan laughed out loud at the plot of the movie, and Ruan Jianan looked at her bright smile and his heart was also filled with joy.

Lin Yanan laughed too hard and accidentally spilled popcorn all over the floor. She looked at Ruan Jianan awkwardly, but Ruan Jianan smiled dotingly and picked up a tissue to help her clean up.

"Oh, I'm so stupid." Lin Yanan said with a red face.

Ruan Jianan gently scratched her nose and said, "Not stupid, very cute."

After the movie ended, the two walked out of the theater, their stomachs growling with hunger.

"Come on, I'll take you to eat something delicious." Ruan Jianan took Lin Yanan's hand.

They came to a busy restaurant with many people inside and finally found an empty seat.

When ordering food, Lin Yanan looked at the menu, wanting to eat this and that, and was very conflicted.

Ruan Jianan said with a smile: "Why don't you order all of them so you can eat as much as you want."

Lin Yanan's eyes widened. "How can we finish it? It will be a waste."

Finally, they ordered a few signature dishes. While waiting for the food, Lin Yanan fiddled with the tableware out of boredom.

Suddenly, a kitten ran over and rubbed against Lin Yanan's feet. Lin Yanan bent down and picked up the kitten, "Oh, what a cute kitten."

Ruan Jianan looked at her loving expression and said, "Let's raise one in the future."

Lin Yanan nodded happily.

The food came and Lin Yanan couldn't wait to pick up the chopsticks. As soon as she took a bite, she stuck out her tongue because of the spiciness.

"Haha, eat slowly. No one is going to snatch the food from you." Ruan Jianan smiled and handed her the water.

Lin Yanan took a big sip of water and said, "This is too spicy, but it's really delicious."

After finishing their meal, the two walked out of the restaurant. The night wind was a little chilly, so Ruan Jianan took off his coat and put it on Lin Yanan.

"Don't catch a cold." said Ruan Jianan.

Lin Yanan felt warm in her heart, "Aren't you cold yourself?"

Ruan Jianan shook his head, "I'm in good health."

As they walked, they came to a park. There was a group of people dancing in the park. Lin Yanan took Ruan Jianan's hand and said, "Let's go and take a look."

The two stood aside, watching those cheerful figures, and Lin Yanan couldn't help but twist her body to the rhythm.

Ruan Jianan smiled and said, "You dance really beautifully."

Lin Yanan rolled her eyes at him and said, "You just know how to coax me."

When leaving the park, Lin Yanan accidentally stepped into a puddle and her shoes got soaked.

"Oh, what should we do?" Lin Yanan frowned.

Ruan Jianan carried Lin Yanan on his back without saying anything, "I'll carry you."

Lin Yanan lay on Ruan Jianan's back, her heart full of happiness.

After returning home, Lin Yanan couldn't calm down for a long time.

"I'm so happy today." Lin Yanan lay on the bed, recalling every detail of the day.

Ruan Jianan was also lying on the bed with a smile on his face, looking forward to a better future with Lin Yanan.
